Lecture: DR. Sidik Jatmika

Examines major conceptual and substantive issues in the comparative analysis of national systems in The Middle East. Concentrates on the dominant theoretical approaches to politics and social transformation, paying attention to themes such as state making, political culture, elite, revolutionary change and broader interaction of political  and economical process.
Uses comparative and thematic approach, drawing from a wide range of cross-national  case studies. Appropriate for students new to comparative politics in The Middle East as well as those ready to expand their knowledge of the field.
